The Great Whistle Mystery

A busy morning for Moonhouse Music thanks to Lee Mack!

Ok, hands up: who was watching Taskmaster last night? Well we weren’t, and this morning’s orders presented somewhat of a mystery. Lots and lots of Swanee whistles, all sold between 9.10pm and 10.10pm last night. Curiouser and curiouser.

Given that one batch was around 9.10 and the around around 10.10, this had all the hallmarks of live TV and then +1 catch up. It took quite a bit of digging, but it appears that at 9pm last night there was a new episode of Taskmaster on Channel 4 broadcast. This particular episode (S11E05 Slap and Tong) featured, at 9.10pm no less, the comedian Lee Mack extolling the virtues of the humble Swanee Whistle; a must-have for life!

And thus, The Great Whistle Mystery was solved. Sherlock Holmes, would surely have not taken so long over the deduction. Anyway, much thanks to Lee Mack for boosting sales of our lovely whistles for a brief moment - next time you’re in this part of Derbyshire, we’ll buy you an ice cream or something!
