In Bloom

Anemone de Caen ‘Sylphide’

APRIL 15TH, 2021

Well, it’s been a busy week here at Moonhouse Music, getting lots of orders sent out, preparing to launch new social media channels, designing some promotional material, planning meetings for new repertoire commissions and a lot of studio work on some exciting sheet music projects!

New Repertoire: The next two publications coming out will be a rather wonderful folk resource for solo instruments, featuring real folk musicians to play along with on the backing tracks. Also, we have the first of a new series of jazz-influenced pieces, which take a fresh look at some of the most well known classical works. We’ll be blogging more on these when they’re complete.

So, very gradually, things are starting to bloom at Moonhouse Music, getting new things ready for all that music making we’ve been desperate to do, but couldn’t, during Covid-19.

This very much mirrors the Moonhouse Garden, which is starting to show lots of new signs of growth. This week’s favourite appearance has been the wonderful Anemone de Caen you can see in the photo above. There’s a real sense of expectation, hope and excitement about a garden that has been tended during autumn and winter, that’s just waiting to spring into life again. Much like our music making plans!

Let’s see what 2021 brings for us all.
